I’ve been doing some tinkering with my vegetable juices recently.

  • I stopped adding fruits because of the downside of ingesting high amounts of sugar without fiber. Instead I’ve been sweetening the juice with either a couple small scoops of stevia or a tablespoon of raw honey.
  • I have also been trying out new vegetables and random combos to see what tastes good. Been juicing crazier than Doc at the end of Back to the Future…

Refueling

My favorite new vegetable is red cabbage. It juices into a very cool-looking dark purple. I paired the red cabbage with more neutral-colored vegetable juices to help preserve that mad scientist look.

Purple Drank

  • 1/2 red cabbage
  • 5-6 stalks of celery
  • 1 cucumber
  • 1 in. of ginger
  • 1 lime
  • sweeten with stevia or raw honey to taste
