What you will need:

1 Bunch of Kale (preferably organic): $2



Extra Virgin Olive Oil

(Packaged kale chips: ~$20-$25 for same quantity as 1 bunch)


  1. Preheat oven to 350 Deg
  2. Wash kale
  3. Chop kale into strips 1-2″ wide, stems included
  4. Dry the kale with a paper towel
  5. Cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil and space out the kale on the baking sheet
  6. Bake for 10-15 minutes or until the edges of the kale are brown, but not burnt. Move around the kale bits around the 8 minute mark.
  7. Sprinkle a generous amount of olive oil and season with salt and pepper

I just made my first batch! I think next time I need to do a better job of drying the kale before baking (it didn’t turn out as crispy as I had wanted). But it was still delicious and got me addicted 😀
