Let’s get started!

Here are my 10 basic rules to start becoming healthier today. In future posts I will be explaining them in greater detail and will also offer solutions to help make it easier to stick with these rules.

Have a look and see how many things you are already completing, and which areas need more attention.

(in no particular order of importance):

1. Cut out all sugar.


2. Drink 2-3 L of water a day. This is in addition to any fluids you may drink that contain water (juice, tea, coconut water etc.)


3. Make sleep a priority! 7-8 hours a day.


4. Cook every meal, or as often as possible.


5. Overload on veggies. Set the goal to have meals be vegetable dominant (up to 75%).

6. Do something physically active everyday. At a minimum, go outside and walk for 30 minutes.


7. No smoking, no drugs, and drink alcohol in moderation (if you’re hungover the next day, it probably wasn’t in moderation :p).


8. Avoid processed foods, anything fried, and stop eating fast food.


9. Love yourself and your body no matter where you today are in relation to where you want to be in the future. Choose to start letting go any limiting beliefsĀ and free yourself from the past. Begin adopting new appreciation for your life and back up your desired future with hope.

10. Have fun!–do the things that seem the most exciting to you, laugh a lot with good friends, and SMILE more every day!
