The mind by nature is a wild, wandering, powerful beast.

When focused towards the realization of our desires, genius moments and miracles can occur. When it wanders off, the mind’s imagination can plant seeds of doubt, create unnecessary anxiety and stress, and have you spiral negatively into a life experience of suffering and hopelessness.

The good news is, with work, this beast can be tamed. Whenever we catch ourselves overwhelmed with negative thoughts and feelings we have the choice to either feel victimized and indulge in our mind’s trajectory towards suffering, or to pull back the reins and will ourselves back to a better feeling state and restore balance.
